Explanation
(This amendment provides $1,438,992 each year from nongeneral funds received from federal, private and faith-based grants for pre-release parenting programs for non-custodial incarcerated parent offenders committed to the Department of Corrections, pursuant to House Bill 792 of the 2004 Session of the General Assembly. A companion amendment in Item 360 directs the Department of Social Services, in conjunction with the Department of Correctional Education, to identify and apply for these grant programs.)
