Direct Aid To Public Education

Page 101, line 51, before "State", insert "1."
Page 102, after line 2 insert:
"2. The Department of Education will continue to manage and administer all current adult education programs as defined in Direct Aid to Public Education. All adult education initiatives currently defined in Direct Aid will be excluded from any consolidations from other state agencies that may involve adult education funding."

(This amendment is intended to prohibit the movement, transfer or consolidation of any adult education programs and/or funding from the Direct Aid to Public Education to any other agency as a result of any legislation that may be passed in the 2004 session.)
