Explanation
(This amendment eliminates the $9 weights and measures fee assessed beginning in fiscal year 2004 pursuant to Chapter 1042, Acts of Assembly, 2003. The revenues derived from the fee are used by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to finance its annual inspection of statewide weights and measures. Language directs the VDACS Commissioner to inspect test weights and measures only on a periodic basis as he deems necessary.)
