Explanation
(This amendment provides $115,000 the second year to implement a collaborative teacher recruitment effort in the Western Virginia Public Education Consortium's region (the counties of Alleghany, Bland, Botetourt, Craig, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski, Roanoke, and Wythe and the cities of Covington, Clifton Forge, Radford, Roanoke, and Salem). The program provides funding for the Consortium and neighboring school divisions to develop the means by which they can collaboratively recruit for teachers through the use of regional job fairs, supplemental broadcast/print media recruitment campaigns, and the development of online WEB access.)
