Explanation
(This amendment provides $386,690 and 5.5 FTE positions the second year from the general fund to establish a Public Defender office serving Montgomery County. A companion amendment to Item 30 captures the estimated savings in the Criminal Fund resulting from establishment of this office. These amendments are contingent upon final passage of Senate Bill 1169, as engrossed.)
