It is the intent of the General Assembly that funding for the Adolescent Unit at Southwest Virginia Mental Health Institute, currently funded by the Commonwealth of Virginia, shall continue to be provided, and that this unit remain in operation to serve the needs of the adolescent population of all of the counties in Southwest Virginia and other areas of the Commonwealth.
