"Out of this appropriation, $1,500,000 the second year from the general fund shall be provided through the Office of Mental Retardation for the development and operation of a family support and self-determination pilot program for people with developmental disabilities and their families.  The program shall serve at least 60 individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.  The Office of Mental Retardation shall evaluate the program to determine its success in implementing a self-determined approach to community care for these consumers."

(This amendment provides funds for a family support pilot program for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to assist them in planning and arranging services to meet their needs.)
