"Out of this appropriation, $1,500,000 the second year from the general fund shall be provided through the Office of Mental Retardation to the Virginia Institute for Developmental Disabilities (VIDD) for the development and operation of a family support and self-determination pilot program for people with developmental disabilities.  The VIDD shall coordinate its efforts with the Office of Mental Retardation to ensure that duplicative services are not rendered.  The VIDD shall report its progress and program outcomes to the Governor and the Chairmen of the House Appropriations and Senate Finance Committees no later than December 15, 2001."

(This amendment provides funds for a family support pilot program for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to assist them in planning and arranging services to meet their needs.)
