"4.  Out of this appropriation, $1,000,000 is provided for seed money to attract private donations in support of the construction of a monument for the Jamestown 2007 celebration.  By June 30, 2001, the Comptroller shall transfer this sum to a nongeneral nonreverting account in the state treasury designated as "The Jamestown 2007 Fund."  Expenditures from this fund are to be used to support monument construction or celebration activities in such a way as to maximize additional funds from private sources.  All expenditures shall be in accordance with guidance from the Jamestown 2007 Steering Committee and the agency's Facilities Master Plan."

Explanation
(This amendment provides $1,000,000 for seed money to attract private donations in support of the construction of a monument for Jamestown 2007. The 1999 General Assembly provided $1,000,000 to be placed in a nonreverting account for this purpose. The introduced budget removes the money from this fund and includes it in general fund balances to be used for appropriation.)
