Page 166, line 39, strike "$11,462,984" and insert "$11,741,499".
Page 167, line 48, strike "1,275" and insert "1,635".
Page 168, after line 2, insert:
"Fairfax County public schools shall not reduce local per pupil funding for the Thomas Jefferson Governor's School below the amounts appropriated for the 1999-2000 school year."

(This amendment increases the cap on Governor's Schools' enrollment to 1,650. The only School which would be immediately affected is the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax, with an enrollment of 1,635 students. Lifting the cap would allow the school to receive the state share of funding for all its students. In addition, it inserts a "maintenance of effort" requirement for local funding.)
