A. The Department of Personnel and Training shall study the compensation of all grade one and two employees in the Commonwealth. The study should review whether the salary ranges are commensurate with the job duties of each class in those grade levels. The Department shall also determine the number of employees in these grade levels who are eligible for public assistance programs provided by either the state or federal government. The Department shall report the findings of this study no later than November 15, 1996, to the Governor and the Chairmen of the House Appropriations and Senate Finance Committees.
B. The Department of Personnel and Training shall review the salary levels of Alcoholic Beverage Control agent positions. If the review determines that the salary of these positions is not competitive with similar law enforcement positions, the Department shall make such salary and classification adjustments as are required.
