Explanation
(This amendment removes $101,200 each year from the Legislative Department Reversion Clearing Account. A companion amendment to Item 1 transfers these funds to the General Assembly to cover unbudgeted cost increases for Members' and Legislative Assistants' session per diem payments, in the Senate, which are related to a change in IRS regulations.)

Authority: Title 9, Chapter 20, Code of Virginia.

A. Transfers out of this appropriation may be made to fund unanticipated costs in the budgets of legislative agencies or other such costs approved by the Joint Rules Committee.

B. Included within the amounts provided for in this item is an amount not to exceed $120,000 in the first year, subject to the approval of the Joint Committee on Rules. This amount may be used to support the activities of the Commission established pursuant to Senate Joint Resolution 61 of the 1996 Session of the General Assembly.
