Out of this appropriation shall be established the fund authorized by § 30-19.1:4, Code of Virginia, referred to as the Corrections Special Reserve Fund, to provide funds for the estimated increase in prison operating costs of House Bill 251 and Senate Bill 44 Chapters 755 and 914 ($5,382,720), House Bill 88 Chapter 527 ($125,000), and Senate Bill 26 Chapter 913 ($250,000), 1996 Regular Session, which will result in a net increase in periods of imprisonment in adult state correctional facilities. This appropriation includes $5,757,720 the first year from the general fund which shall be paid into the Corrections Special Reserve Fund.
