Explanation
(This amendment makes a technical adjustment in nongeneral fund appropriations and positions to reflect the fact that the Medical College of Virginia has become an independent authority. Many positions are split-funded between Virginia Commonwealth University and MCV and such split-funding is no longer possible as MCV has achieved authority status. The nongeneral funds shown in the amendment represent MCV payments to VCU for various contractual services. The budget, as introduced, began an adjustment for instructional and administrative faculty. This adjustment is for administrative and classified positions. A companion amendment is found in Item 551.2.)
