A. Out of this appropriation, $2,099,838 and 14 positions from the general fund and $4,500,000 from nongeneral funds the first year and $2,099,838 and 14 positions from the general fund and $4,500,000 from nongeneral funds the second year is designated to build research capacity in modeling and simulation, which shall include efforts to improve traffic management through modeling.
B. The Higher Education Operating fund source listed in this Item is considered to be a sum sufficient appropriation, which is an estimate of funding required by the university to cover sponsored program operations.
