New Construction: Construct New Academic Science and Technology Building (16798)

Notwithstanding § 4-4.01o.3, Virginia State University may use up to $733,000 in project balances to address the expansion of a parking lot located on campus to compensate for the loss of parking spaces resulting from construction.  However, the University may not apply any of the balances to the parking lot expansion until it has certified to the Director, Department of General Services and the Director, Department of Planning and Budget that the construction of the new building will be completed below the appropriated cost and that no cost overruns shall result from the use of these funds for a purpose other than the completion of the approved project.
