A. Out of this appropriation, $560,568 the first year and $560,568 the second year shall be provided from special dedicated revenue to the Virginia Department of Health for financial incentives to physicians, including psychiatrists who commit to practice in underserved areas of the state.


B. To the extent permissible under federal law, the Department of Health Professions (DHP), is authorized to transfer revenues from Certified Nurse Aide fees to the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) to be used as state Medicaid match for the purpose of matching federal funds and reimbursing DHP for expenditures related to the Certified Nurse Aide program.
