Authority: Title 2.1, Chapter 32, Articles 3 and 6, Code of Virginia.


A. The Compensation Board is hereby authorized to deduct, from the first reimbursements made each year to localities out of the amounts in Items 66 and 67 of this act, an amount equal to each locality’s share of the insurance premium paid by the Compensation Board on behalf of the offices of the Commissioner of Revenue and the Treasurer.


B. There is hereby reappropriated the unexpended balance remaining in this program on June 30, 2000, June 30, 2001, and June 30, 2002.


C. Out of this appropriation, $667,608 the first year and $2,601,079 the second year from nongeneral funds is provided to upgrade automation and internet capabilities of all constitutional officers. Notwithstanding § 17.1-279, Code of Virginia, the nongeneral funds to support this appropriation are to come from Technology Trust Fund Fees. The Compensation Board may allocate such technology trust funds as are otherwise remaining to support efforts to enhance technology improvements for circuit clerks' offices.
