A. The amounts for Housing Assistance Services include $1,759,120 from the general fund, $180,000 from dedicated special revenue, and $5,905,066 from the federal trust fund the first year and $1,759,120 from the general fund, $180,000 from dedicated special revenue, and $5,905,066 from the federal trust fund the second year to support emergency shelters, housing for special populations and permanent housing for the handicapped homeless, and $1,951,000 the first year and $1,951,000 the second year for homeless prevention. The amounts allocated for emergency shelters shall be matched through local or private sources.


B. The amounts for Housing Assistance Services include $3,000,000 from the general fund and $11,524,000 from federal funds the first year and $3,000,000 from the general fund and $11,524,000 from federal funds the second year to support Virginia Housing Partnership programs. Any unexpended balance of grant funds at the close of business on June 30, 1996 and June 30, 1997, shall not revert to the surplus of the general fund, but shall be carried forward and reappropriated.
