Explanation

(This amendment provides $398,200 the first year and $30,000 the second year from the general fund to implement Senate Bill 425 relating to barrier crimes. The funding supports the enhancement of the Criminal History and Rapback Information System (CRIS), including one-time and ongoing costs. This bill is a recommendation from the Joint Study on Barrier Crimes and is a companion to amendments at the Department of Education, Department of Health, Department of Social Services, and Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.)
