Out of this appropriation, $694,907 the first year and $1,055,449 the second year from the general fund is designated toward the establishment of a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program to address workforce demands and attract, sustain, and grow the technology sector in Virginia. The proposed program shall be administered by the Department of Computer Science, which resides within the College of Integrated Science and Engineering."



Explanation

(This amendment provides $694,907 GF and 6.25 positions the first year and $1.1 million GF and 9.25 positions the second year toward the launch of a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Program at James Madison University.)
