Explanation

(This amendment requests pool funding to continue necessary updates to the core exhibition at Jamestown Settlement, ensuring the central galleries will continue to meet the needs of audiences we serve and allow us to achieve our agency mission. Key components of the update will expand spaces for educational programming, improve visitor flow, incorporate new content based on recent historical research and upgrade technology, security, and lighting. Incremental gallery improvements to exhibits, content and technology have been taking place over the past 15 years, with major refresh projects in 2017 and 2019. This request will continue the ongoing investment to maintain the relevancy of the museum galleries and expand audience impact.)
