Page 501, strike lines 28 through 32 and insert:

"P. Out of the amounts included in this item, amounts estimated at $48,300 the first year and $192,224 the second year from the general fund is available for transfer to state agencies and institutions of higher education to fund expected increases in workers' compensation premiums to the Department of Human Resource Management.”



Explanation

(This amendment provides $1.0 million from the general fund each year pursuant to the passage of House Bill 1002 of the 2022 General Assembly Session which designates carpal tunnel syndrome and other repetitive motion injuries as an injury by accident under the Workers Compensation Act. The funding amount included in the request is a placeholder until a detailed estimate is finalized.)
