Page 422, after line 29, insert:

"D. The Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security shall encourage the reporting of cybersecurity attacks by affected government and private entities to law enforcement. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, such reports, including all complains of such attacks, cyber threat indicators, defensive measures taken, papers, records, documents, reports, and any other related materials in the possession in law enforcement agencies of the Commonwealth shall be confidential and shall not be further disseminated unless necessary for investigative or prosecutorial purposes."



Explanation

(This amendment directs the Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security to encourage the reporting of cybersecurity attacks by affected parties. The amendment also provides that materials had by law enforcement agencies of the Commonwealth shall be held confidentially.)
