Explanation(This amendment provides $500,000 the second year and four positions from the general fund for the Virginia Independent Commission on Ethics created pursuant to Senate Bill 1289 of 2015. The proposed funding includes salaries and benefits for an executive director, chief counsel, and two administrative staff positions, as well as per diem and travel expenses for four meetings per year for the nine members of the commission and $100,000 to create and maintain an electronic database. This amendment is contingent upon passage of Senate Bill 1289.)
