"M.  The Department shall report to the Senate Finance and House Appropriations Committees by December 1, 2005, on appropriate mechanisms for managing land use and development in order to minimize increases in land imperviousness and run-off pollution loads into the Chesapeake Bay watershed.  The Department shall take into consideration the legislative and regulatory requirements of the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act as well as the Department's erosion and sediment control program and stormwater management programs managed by agencies in the Natural Resources secretariat.  The Department shall consult with appropriate private sector entities, nonprofit organizations, and local governments, as needed."

(This amendment provides $50,000 of general fund support for the Department of Conservation and Recreation to report to the money committees on options to effectively manage run-off pollution in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. These options are to take into consideration the statutory and regulatory requirements of existing laws.)
