Explanation
(This amendment provides $1.5 million from the general fund the second year to expand statewide the Long-term Care Ombudsman Program, operated at the local level by area agencies on aging. This amendment would complete statewide funding of this program and provide sufficient funding for each local program to employ one ombudsman for every 2,000 licensed nursing home and adult care residence in the community.
