Explanation
(This amendment provides $96,941 from the general fund and $290,823 from federal funds and three positions the second year for the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in the Office of the Attorney General. These positions will enable this unit to expand it efforts in cooperation with the Department of Medical Assistance Services to collect Medicaid fraud recoveries. Accordingly, a companion amendment to Item 326.AAA. of this Act captures an additional $750,000 in dedicated special funds the second year from these recoveries.)
