Explanation
(This amendment provides an additional $1.0 million from the general fund in the second year for Healthy Families to address a projected shortfall in funding of more than $1.8 million from federal Title IV-E matching reimbursements due to a delay in payments from the Department of Social Services and a change in the eligibility requirements for these matching funds. Language is added directing the Department of Social Services to expedite these reimbursement claims which will help in addressing some of the anticipated shortfall in funding.)
