Explanation
(This amendment provides funding for the development of a “real time” reporting system to allow hospitals to report on the availability of acute psychiatric beds for children and adolescents. The Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, in consultation with staff of the Joint Commission on Health Care, shall prepare and issue a request for proposals and select a vendor to develop the reporting system (which may include an addition to an operating system). This is a recommendation of the Joint Commission on Health Care.)
