Explanation
(This amendment provides an additional $5.0 million from the general fund and $5.0 million in matching federal Medicaid funds in the second year to increase reimbursement for community-based Medicaid mental retardation (MR) waiver service providers in areas of the state with high labor costs. A rate differential will help providers to hire and retain a reliable and qualified workforce to meet the safety needs of disabled individuals receiving services under the MR waiver.)
