(This amendment provides $1.5 million from the general fund the second year to expand statewide the Long-term Care Ombudsman Program operated by local area agencies on aging. This funding would complete the expansion of this program statewide and provide sufficient funds to meet the Institute of Medicine's standard of one ombudsman for every 2,000 licensed nursing home and assisted living facility beds in the community.)
