"O. Out of the amounts for State Education Services, $250,000 the first year and $250,000 the second year from the general fund is provided for the establishment of incentive funds for school divisions to seek annual prorated reimbursement of the testing fee incurred by school divisions on behalf of enrolled students who select an Industry Certification test in lieu of a Standards of Learning test to meet, in part, high school graduation requirements.  The reimbursement amount paid shall not exceed 100% of the total cost of the testing fees incurred by the school divisions and shall be based on local composite index, availability of state funds allocated specifically for this purpose and the total number of school divisions seeking reimbursement."


Explanation
(This amendment provides $250,000 each year of the biennium for the establishment of incentive funds to reimburse a portion of the testing fees incurred by school divisions that offer Industry Certification tests to enrolled students who may select one of these types of tests to satisfy the verified credits requirements for high school graduation.)
