Explanation
(This amendment provides $2.4 million in nongeneral funds for DMV to begin detailed planning and engineering to replace a 15 year old computer system affecting the agency's driver, vehicle and motor carrier services. There is also funding to begin phasing out obsolete terminals with personal computers at the customer service centers.)
