Explanation
(This amendment reduces funding for the Family Access to Medical Insurance Security Plan (FAMIS) program. The introduced budget would have expanded FAMIS eligibility to pregnant women who are over the age of 19 with annual family income in excess of the Medicaid limit but less than or equal to 175 percent of the federal poverty level. Funding remains in this item to expand prenatal care, pregnancy-related services, and 60 days of post-partum care under FAMIS to 380 pregnant women who are over the age of 19 with annual family income less than or equal to 150 percent of the federal poverty level.)
