Explanation
(This amendment reflects the offset to Basic Aid based on the final sales tax estimate provided by the Department of Taxation. It decreases the state's share for Basic Aid payments to localities by $1.0 million in the biennium as a result of a correction realized after the budget bill was introduced. This is the corresponding offset in Basic Aid as a result of an additional $1.8 million in sales tax being distributed to school divisions. There are companion amendments in Items 147 and 157.10.)
