The College of William and Mary in Virginia is hereby granted authority to purchase the former Williamsburg Community Hospital, consisting of real property and improvements described generally as 24 acres, more or less, and 217,000 square feet of facilities, more or less, that constitute the current physical location of the majority of the hospital’s operation. It is the intent of the Governor and the General Assembly that sufficient nongeneral appropriations will be provided to the College of William and Mary to support this purchase.2. To the extent necessary in connection with this purchase, The College of William and Mary in Virginia is hereby granted authority to enter into a written agreement to lease said property through the use of nongeneral funds to Sentara Healthcare if such a lease is necessary to allow sufficient time for the completion of construction and transfer of Sentara Healthcare operations to a new hospital facility.” "C-15.50 Williamsburg Community Hospital
