"Out of the amounts for Financial Assistance for Cultural and Artistic Affairs, $25,000 the second year from the general fund is provided to the Liberia House."

Explanation
(This amendment provides $25,000 from the general fund in the second year to the Liberia House. The Liberia House is listed on both the National Register of Historical Places and the Virginia Landmark properties. The Liberia House was built in 1825 in the Federal House style. The Liberia House was one of the few plantation houses to survive the battles of the First and Second Manassas. It served as a headquarters and field hospital for both sides. The funding requested would be used to help underwrite restoration of interior rooms and caretaker quarters, and rebuilding of the kitchen, along with the development of parking and restrooms.)
