Explanation
(This amendment reduces funding in the introduced budget by $2.7 million for involuntary mental commitments. The funding was originally included to handle a backlog of claims. However, the Department of Medical Assistance Services has recently resolved the backlog with its third-party claims agency and has reported that the added funding in the introduced budget is no longer needed.)
