The Department of Motor Vehicles is hereby granted approval to enter into new capital leases or renew existing leases due to expire during the current biennium for existing customer service centers located in western Henrico County, South Boston, Lexington, Front Royal, Bedford, Danville, Vansant, Woodstock, Covington and the Richmond, Virginia DMV warehouse. Such new lease or renewal may not exceed twenty years, and may provide for the Department to take possession of such facilities at the expiration of such leases. The Department may acquire the facilities in Tappahannock and Farmville which are now at the end of a lease purchase agreement. Any such agreement shall be subject to review and approval by the Department of General Services.
