A. Pursuant to Title 9, Chapter 27, Article 2.2, Code of Virginia, $176,697,829 $171,741,671 the first year and $188,713,282 $183,402,930 the second year from the general fund is hereby appropriated for purposes of Financial Assistance to Localities-General (Other Services), to be apportioned to localities with qualifying police departments in accordance with the provisions of Title 9, Chapter 27, Article 2.2, Code of Virginia (House Bill 599).


B. For purposes of receiving funds in accordance with this program, it is the intention of the General Assembly that the Town of Boone's Mill shall be considered to have had a police department in operation since the 1980-82 biennium and is therefore eligible for financial assistance under Title 9, Chapter 27, Article 2.2, Code of Virginia (House Bill 599).
