There is hereby appropriated each year to the Board of Bar Examiners a sum sufficient (not to exceed $50,000) for payment to the National Conference of Bar Examiners for character and background checks in accordance with certification of out-of-state attorneys to the Virginia State Bar. This sum sufficient is funded with money received from applicant fees and deposited in the general fund.
