This appropriation includes $125,000 the first year and $125,000 the second year from the general fund for the ongoing literacy programs conducted by Mountain Empire Community College, and $125,000 the first year and $125,000 the second year from the general fund for a workplace literacy program to support the Communities for Opportunity Initiative in the Department of Housing and Community Development.
