Authority: § 30-19.1:4, Code of Virginia.

Out of this appropriation shall be established the fund authorized by § 30-19.1:4, Code of Virginia, referred to as the Corrections Special Reserve Fund, to provide funds for the estimated increase in prison operating costs of House Bill 251 and Senate Bill 44 ($5,382,720), House Bill 88 ($125,000), and Senate Bill 26 ($250,000), 1996 Regular Session, which will result in a net increase in periods of imprisonment in adult state correctional facilities. This appropriation includes $5,757,720 the first year from the general fund which shall be paid into the Corrections Special Reserve Fund.
