New Construction:  Hampton Roads Veterans' Care Center

The Governor is authorized to request federal funds to construct a new 240-bed veterans' care center located in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. After the United States Department of Veterans Affairs has determined that federal funds will be allocated for the new center, the Director of the Department of Planning and Budget shall approve a short-term, interest free treasury loan in the amount of $14.6 million to the Department of Veterans Services for the state share of the construction.
