Not later than January 1, 1997, the Governor, through the Department of Conservation and Recreation, is hereby requested and authorized to exercise his powers granted by the General Assembly to expend an amount up to $200,000 for acquisition of additional real property for the establishment of the Staunton River Battlefield/Fort Hill Historical State Park, such sums to be derived from funds available to the agency for such purposes pursuant to Chapter 789 of the 1992 Acts of Assembly.
