Page 618, line 1, before "Out", insert "A."

Page 618, after line 4, insert:

"B. Out of this appropriation, up to $3,000,000 the first year from the general fund shall be used to replace underground storage tanks at properties owned and operated by the Department."

Explanation

(This amendment provides language to direct that up to $3.0 million of existing funding for state park deferred maintenance be used to replace underground storage tanks at properties owned and operated by the Department of Conservation and Recreation. A companion amendment to Item C-48.50 strikes additional funding proposed for this purpose.)

Out of this appropriation, up to $5,800,000 is authorized for the fee simple acquisition of land established as Natural Bridge State Park and retires the outstanding loan balance on the Virginia Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund for the land in order to better assist with managing and maintaining the park area.
